
Who’s Who In Black Cleveland Returns Welcoming Medical Director of Inclusion, Diversity and Equity, Dr. Charles Modlin as its Foreword Writer for the 15th edition of Who’s Who In Cleveland
CLEVELAND — Who’s Who In Black Cleveland will return after a hiatus due to the pandemic with its 15th edition. For 20 years, Who’s Who In Black Cleveland has celebrated the excellence of African American industry professionals within the Cleveland community. The brand welcomes Dr. Charles Modlin as its foreword writer for the upcoming edition.
As the Medical Director of Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity at MetroHealth, Dr. Charles Modlin is known for his thought leadership, perspective, and vision on dimensional matters of diversity through the lens of a clinician.

Formerly a 27-year veteran and member of Cleveland Clinic’s surgical staff, Modlin served   the Kidney Transplant Surgeon & Urologist and the Executive Director Minority Health and Cleveland Clinic Physician Lead for Public Health.  “Dr, Modlin is a staple leader in the Cleveland community and the team at Who’s Who In Black Cleveland is excited to have him as our 15th edition foreword writer,” states Rhonda Crowder, Associate publisher.
Named one of The Atlanta Post’s Top 21 Black Doctors in America in 2011, Modlin is a notable national leader in advocating for health equity and eliminating health disparities. He’s been recognized for his appointment to the Ohio Commission on Minority Health by two Ohio Governors, Northwestern University Presidential Alumni Medal, the Inaugural 2009 Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine Distinguished Humanitarianism in Medicine Award, 2007 MLK Greater Cleveland Partnership Community Service Award, Call & Post 100 Top Influential Leaders, numerous Cleveland Magazine Best Doctors recognitions, recognition in the Inaugural Edition of Who’s Who In Black Cleveland as one of the Cleveland’s Interesting and appointed by Governor Mike DeWine to serve on the Ohio Governor’s Minority COVID-19 Strike Force to name a few.
Modlin has dedicated his life not just to medicine, but to mentoring today’s generation of leaders. As the author of “It Isn’t Difficult To Do It If You Know How To Do It,” Modlin helps readers use life application practices to navigate through life’s experiences and journeys.
