Diddy Leads Campaign to Aid Minority-Owned Small Businesses Amid COVID-19

Sean “Diddy” Combs has created Our Fair Share to assist minority owned small businesses reeling from COVID-19. The first round of funding established by the government through the Payment Protection Program (PPP) went fast. It never trickled down to businesses that needed financial help the most so that is when Combs stepped up.

“I created Our Fair Share to help entrepreneurs play on an even playing field and give them a chance to survive with the hope to thrive,” said Combs in a statement.

“Minority businesses have always struggled to access the capital they need to thrive. Now is the time to show commitment to the communities being hit the hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic.”

He has partnered with the National Bankers Association to link minority owned small businesses with banks to access PPP loans. Chairman of the National Bankers Association, Kenneth Kelly, said,

“It is inspiring to see a cultural icon like Sean Combs partnering with minority banks and others to ensure economic opportunity for minorities in this program…We can help our communities weather this storm if we work together.”

Combs is welcoming all major financial institutions to partner with Our Fair Share.
