Who’s Who In Black Charlotte is also excited to announce the return of Rhonda Caldwell, a distinguished leader in events, marketing, and journalism, as its Associate Publisher. Rhonda Caldwell, brings her extensive experience and a profound commitment to community enrichment back to the Who’s Who In Black Charlotte publication.
Rhonda Caldwell, with over 10 years of experience, has been featured in NFocus Magazine as one of Charlotte’s Top 5 Event Planners, Today’s Charlotte Woman, Charlotte Business Journal, Charlotte Observer, Pride Magazine, and The Charlotte Post for her achievements in the Special Events industry. The Main Event’s management and design of the Hearst Tower Grand Opening for Bank of America won the International Special Events Society (ISES) EVIE Award for “Best Corporate Event.”
Ms. Caldwell is an award-winning events professional. In 2018, Caldwell won the Small Business Enterprise of the Year Award for the City of Charlotte Crown Award. She is also the recipient of the 2015 Charlotte Business Journal Women in Business Award and a 2014 Maya Angelou Women Who Lead Honoree.
The American Business Women’s Association Charlotte Chapter recognized Caldwell with the Woman of the Year Award in 2008 while working with Jack Henry & Associates as a Marketing Director making her the youngest recipient of this well-deserved honor.
Ms. Caldwell has produced and managed events for a variety of clients including; Dignitaries & Delegates for the Charlotte Democratic National Convention, Bank of America, Family Dollar, Wells Fargo, Atrium Health, Chobani, Novant Health, Pride Magazine, Denny’s, UNC-Charlotte, Accenture, Cintas, Real Times Media, The Urban League, The Charlotte Post, Luster Products, and The Park Ministries, among others.
Ms. Caldwell is an active member of the International Live Events Association, Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and The Links, Inc. Her community involvement includes: President, Women’s InterCultural Exchange; M& F Bank City Advisory Board; Girl Scouts of America, UNC Charlotte Alumni Association, BCC Scholarship, Mentoring.
