Jeanie Hunter, Synergy President and CEO Honored by Atlanta Business League

With over 20 years of experience, Jeanie Hunter serves as the CEO and Co-founder of Synergy Development Partners, LLC an Atlanta-based general contracting company generating over 600 million in projects to date. Jeanie oversees, identifies, develops and implements internal
strategies in the day-to-day operations that ensures resiliency and sustainability of the organization.

Jeanie’s leadership style is characterized by her ability to inspire and motivate her team, encouraging them to think creatively and push the boundaries of what is possible. She places great emphasis on fostering a positive work environment that values integrity, professionalism, and open communication. Jeanie’s leadership and dedication make her a true inspiration for women in
construction. Her work has propelled Synergy to become a leader in one of the fastest-growing
women-owned minority companies in Georgia.

With over 18 years of experience in the industry, Jeanie has exceptional knowledge of the construction market, as well as the real estate landscape and associated sectors. Her background includes being a licensed Real Estate Broker and owner of Jeanie Hunter Realty. Jeanie is a wife of 21 years, mother and HBCU graduate of South Carolina State University. Jeanie has been recognized as “2022 Georgia Titan”, this Titan 100 Program spotlights Georgia’s Top 100 CEO’s & C-Level executives, also by the Urban Land Institute as a “2021 Leader”
celebrating women who made extraordinary contributions in the real estate industry, Associated General Contractors (AGC) Build GA Award for “$100 Million Over projects -Joint Venture,” Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport -ATL NEXT’s Triumph Award Recipient for 2021, the Atlanta Business League as one of the 100 Most Powerful and Influential Black Women in Metro Atlanta, Nation Association of Minority Contractors’ Contractor of the Year Award. She was also nominated by the National Council of Negro Women, Inc. as a “Women of Purpose” awards.

Jeanie is a member of various associations including –previous MBEIC Construction Chair for Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council (GMSDC), Board Member of Nation Association of Black Women in Construction (NABWIC), member of The Associated General Contractors (AGC), U.S. Green Building Counsel (USGBC), National Association of Minority Contractors (NAMC), Atlanta Business League (ABL) and the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), among others.

Jeanie, in all that she does in the community and for her family, her passion is educating and exposing young African American youth in the field of business, entrepreneurship and construction. She created an internship and scholarship program called F.I.N.I.S.H where she has
awarded high school seniors and college students, book and school scholarships equating to more than $20,000, as well as placing students on actual jobsites to gain experience and knowledge of the construction industry.
