Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. recently elected David Turner as the organization’s 37th International President during the 2025 Conclave held in Tampa, Florida. A results-driven leader with an unmatched record of fraternity service, Turner assumes the helm of one of the world’s preeminent Black Greek-letter organizations, bringing a forward-thinking plan centered on strategic execution, financial diversification, operational excellence, and technological advancement.

The esteemed fraternal and socio-economic leader brings to the presidency a distinguished record of community activism and civic
service. His contributions to Phi Beta Sigma span over a decade of transformative organization, including unparalleled commitment as International 1st Vice President, Chair of the PBS Impact Foundation, Great Lakes Regional Director, and International Auditor.

Under his stewardship, his impressive accomplishments on behalf of the internationally renowned organization include:

• Record-breaking membership growth and retention rates
• Creation of historic Legacy Societies and innovative financial benefits such as Perks at Work
• Distribution of nearly $1 million in program grants to local chapters
• Accumulation of over $1 million in assets through strategic fundraising
• Facilitation of free Google and Canva nonprofit licenses and Google Career Certificate Scholarships to members
• Saving the organization more than $100,000 in operational expenses during Conclave Houston

As Great Lakes Regional Director, Turner led a 30 percent increase in active collegiate chapters and a 23 percent increase in financial membership, while spearheading successful fundraising initiatives totaling over $39,000. His tenure as International Auditor brought critical policy improvements in financial reporting, asset management, and tax compliance.

Beyond Sigma, Turner is an accomplished Chief Financial Officer with over 12 years of experience in real estate development and property management. His impressive career includes executive roles in international finance, adjunct accounting instruction, and public policy service through appointments on state advisory committees in Illinois and California.

He has been celebrated by InterBusiness Issues Magazine as one of its “40 Leaders Under 40” and has served as a featured panelist at national CFO forums on financial transformation and emerging technologies.

Turner’s presidency begins with an unwavering commitment to civic advocacy, impactful community programming, and empowering the fraternity’s membership for the future. In addition, his leadership philosophy is rooted in the founding principles of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service — amplified by a bold vision for growth and innovation.
