Karen Morrison Named Foreword Writer for 19th Edition of Who’s Who In Black Columbus

COLUMBUS, OH — Who’s Who In Black Columbus is proud to announce Karen Jefferson Morrison, President of the OhioHealth Foundation and Senior Vice President at OhioHealth, as the official foreword writer for the publication’s upcoming 19th edition. With more than 30 years of leadership at OhioHealth, Morrison is a respected healthcare executive, lobbyist, and philanthropist whose influence spans local, state, and national platforms. She leads strategy for external relations, overseeing community health, government affairs, and corporate reinvestment for one of the nation’s top ten health systems. Under her leadership, the OhioHealth Foundation has advanced a strong philanthropic mission, impacting 50 counties in the state of Ohio and 35,000 associates. “Karen Morrison is the embodiment of service, leadership, and legacy,” said Carter D. Womack, Chief Operating Officer of Who’s Who In Black. “Her voice and vision are vital to this moment in our city’s history, and we are honored to have her pen the foreword. It is especially gratifying to know that Congresswoman Beatty — a friend and fierce advocate for equity — will be celebrated and recognized with the Lifetime Achievement Award in this upcoming 2025 edition.” Morrison’s board service includes Greif, Park National Bank, and Palmer-Donavin. She is a member of the Executive Leadership Council and The Links, Incorporated, and has received honors including YWCA Woman of Achievement, the inaugural recipient of “Businesswoman of the Year” award from Columbus Business First Women of Influence, and Columbus CEO’s 2025 Inspiring Woman Award. The 19th edition of Who’s Who In Black Columbus will be unveiled on Tuesday, November 19, 2025, honoring Black leaders across Central Ohio and U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
