Margot James Copeland Named Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient for the 18th Edition of Who’s Who In Black Cleveland
Who’s Who In Black Cleveland is proud to announce that nationally recognized board leader, retired banking executive, and distinguished civic leader Margot James Copeland will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award during the 18th Edition unveiling and networking reception on August 31, 2026, at the InterContinental Cleveland.
The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes individuals whose leadership, service, and impact have created lasting change in their communities and beyond. Throughout a remarkable career spanning financial services, philanthropy, healthcare, higher education, and community development, Copeland has championed opportunity, strengthened institutions, and helped shape initiatives that have improved lives across Northeast Ohio and throughout the nation.
Copeland is the former Chair and Chief Executive Officer of the KeyBank Foundation and former Executive Vice President of Community Engagement and Corporate Inclusion at KeyBank. She currently serves as Chair of the national Board of Directors of AARP and as a Director of Banner Corporation. Her extensive civic leadership includes service with organizations such as The Cleveland Foundation, Cleveland Clinic, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, and numerous educational and community institutions.

A recipient of numerous honors, including recognition by American Banker, Cleveland Magazine, Smart Business Magazine, and Savoy Magazine, Copeland is also the 15th National President and 15th Central Area Director of The Links, Incorporated. Her lifelong dedication to leadership and service continues to inspire future generations.
