The Women of Excellence Awards – Columbus proudly celebrates local African American women who inspire others through their vision and leadership, exceptional achievements, and commitment to community service. These are women who exemplify extraordinary stature, poise, and grace — balancing the many roles they carry as leaders, professionals, mentors, mothers, and pillars of their communities.

As we launch this distinguished celebration in 2026 for the first time in Columbus, we will induct our inaugural class of honorees — women who are champions of economic empowerment and diversity, the backbone of religious and educational institutions, and driving forces in politics, business, and community advancement.

This first class will establish a powerful legacy and join the broader network of Women of Excellence honorees recognized across the country.

We invite you to nominate women who are deserving of this prestigious distinction based on the criteria below.

Nomination Criteria:

• African American executive or business owner
• Demonstrated success within her profession or industry
• Positive role model whose contributions inspire and uplift others
• Actively engaged in community service or organizational leadership
